Health & Safety
Health & Safety is paramount to all works undertaken by BH Basements. We train staff, set up sites and monitor operations to ensure we meet the high standards we set.
As an ASUC member we are audited on our Health and Safety procedures. BH Basements also has their own Health and Safety consultant who is able to review legislation and procedures along with checking that the on-site activities meet all these requirements.
Site staff are regularly trained by external consultants to ensure they fulfil the standards we set. Site inductions and tool box talks are compulsory. As are stringent rules on PPE, first aid, fire safety, access and ingress and all other day to day requirements on a regular BH Basements site.
The site staff are put through recognised training courses such as SMSTS (Site Managers Safety Training Scheme), SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme), NVQ 3 in Underpinning, Temporary works Supervisor, Temporary works Co-ordinator and many more CITB recognised coursed aimed at improving both the technical knowledge and Health and Safety practices within our team.
