Demolition works in existing house whilst retaining the rear façade and the super structure above. The basement extended under the footprint of the house and the garden of the property.

Challenges

The retention of the rear façade meant a number of temporary piles had to be fitted to prop off. This significantly reduced the space and manoeuvrability in the basement making the excavation and underpinning significantly more difficult to execute in a timely fashion.
